Results Berlin Auction Sale 400
01. February 2024 | Estrel Hotel, Berlin
Dear bidders and coin enthusiasts,
finally at 9:30 pm we finished our 400th auction at the World Money Fair in Berlin with great success.
The total hammer of the auction sale was 10.9 million euros, 55% above the total estimate of 7.1 million euros. We would like to thank our bidders, consignors and customers from all over the world for their loyalty and the trust they have placed in us!
As you can see from the highlights below, the price level was very high throughout the day. The Loeserfrom the Friedrich Popken collection and the medals from the "Westphalian private collection with multiple portraits" were in great demand.
The absolute Highlight of the auction, however, was an English pattern of a 5 pound piece from 1820. The estimate for lot number 497 was 150,000 euros. After a long bidding battle, the hammer fell at a proud 460,000 euros.
We were also very pleased with the well-filled auction room, which is unfortunately no longer a matter of course today.
Next Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6, you will again have the opportunity to acquire further pieces from the "Westphalian private collection with multiple portraits". The eLive Premium Auction 401 will start on these days at 5 pm on www.eLive-Auction.de.
Kind regards,
Your Künker Team
