Results Fall Auction Sales 2024 - Coins and Medals from Medieval and Modern Times
23. - 28. September 2024 | Vienna House Remarque Hotel, Osnabrück
Dear bidders and coin enthusiasts,
On Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m., the hammer finally fell for the last time this week after 3,874 lots.
The total hammer price was a stunning 17.3 million Euros! Compared to the estimate of 10 million Euros, this represents an increase of 70%. Today we have concluded our most successful auction week in the history of the company.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our warmest thanks to our numerous bidders and consignors from all over the world for their loyalty and the trust they have placed in us!
The auction week started with the very popular coins and medals related to the Thirty Years' War and the Peace of Westphalia from catalog 410. The total estimate of the 436 lots was 4.25 million euros – after about 6 hours of auction, the hammer fell at 7.5 million Euros!
We congratulate all consignors on these great results.
We are especially pleased that once again many customers from around the world came to Osnabrück in person to take part in the auction. It's nice to see that many of our customers feel the same way we do: you can only get that real auction feeling live in the hall. Even in our digitalized world, Künker makes auctions an experience!
That's why we'd be delighted if you decided to attend one of our next auctions in person. The next opportunity for this is already coming up at the end of October here in Osnabrück.
On 28 October 2024, we will begin the second part of our Fall Acution Sales with catalog 415, comprising orders, decorations, coins and medals from the collections of the high nobility and private collections. This will be followed by catalog 416 on October 29th and 30th, featuring the collection of Dr. Eike Druckrey – the aesthetics and world of thought of the early Greeks – as well as coins from the ancient world from various collections, including that of a North German friend of the ancient world.
We look forward to your participation in the auction.
With warm regards from Osnabrück
Your Künker team
